Pike, perch
or trout – we offer a wide variety of fishing options. With easy access to
Mjøsa and Randsfjorden, two of Norway’s biggest lakes, we offer numerous
fishing possibilities.
There are 20
different fish species in lake Mjøsa alone, and Mjøsa is just one of many
alternatives.
Just under an
hour and a half from Gardermoen airport, and two hours from Oslo, you will find
the inland fishing region Gjøvik Land Toten. Within a radius of 50 kilometres of
Gjøvik town centre, you can choose from a wide variety of fishing adventures.
In addition to Mjøsa and Randsfjorden, there are also lake Einavatnet, the
rivers of Lenaelva and Hunnselva as well as numerous small and big lakes, ponds,
rivers and streams. Catching a one-metre pike, or hooking large trout, is
definitely within the realms of possibility.
”Year round fishing”
is also possible as we offer ice fishing in many of our lakes.
As a general
rule, fishing is permitted from 1 May – 1 September, except in lake Randsfjorden
where fishing is permitted all year round.
There are no dates for when ice fishing is permitted as it depends on
waterways being frozen.
